Hi Jody, this is addressed to you as mod and not to KTJ who predictably enough began on this board as he behaves on the other board and clearly intends to continue on this one.

I completely disagree with the way this Religion Board is set up. Specifically I object to the theme of the board which is “Let the battles (between the religious devout & the non-believers) begin”

It seems that from the outset the Religion Board sees itself as a place of conflict between believers and non-believers. I suspect KTJ is the author of that wording because I cannot believe that you, Jody, would want to replicate here on the back up board the same toxic culture of religion-bashing on the part of paleo-atheist trolls (as distinct from genuine atheists who are comfortable in their atheism and feel no need to troll) as exists on the other board.

I’m disappointed that this replacement Religion Board doesn’t make an effort in its expressed theme to aim to be a place where people of faith could express their faith and welcome non-believers who, in a spirit of respect and good faith, wished to exchange and share ideas and opinions.

By framing this board as a place for conflict rather than sharing, an opportunity to create something positive has been squandered. I would love to find a board where you could discuss philosophy. This Religion Board could have been that place. Sadly, when you leave it to trolls like KTJ to set the theme, that’s  not going to happen.
